Enjoyed hearing and learning more about the development into the modern age of tango. First time hearing the term “New Guard”, though the term “Old Guard” is commonly used. The 1st song, Halcón Negro, told a story, to me, and reminded me of a Disney film with the themes of good and evil or the villain – use of the oboe in the opening passage. Then later, especially with Astor Piazzolla the use of the electric guitar, elements of mains stream jazz, etc. This website is one of the best tools, period, to educate the world, especially Italy, on the subject of tango. Thanks again, so much for sharing with us!!
